The Executive Board met 6/12/10 at the camp for a board meeting and work day. In addition to getting some work done on the camp (the new awning is shown at work in the picture!), they discussed camp business and finished filling all vacant board positions for the year. The day was a big success!
Several pieces of new equipment have been purchased or donated for the camp this year including: two fully functional professional kitchen stoves, new (to us) cafeteria tables, a milk/drink cooler, a new ice machine bin, and of course the metal material for the new awning.
A special thanks goes to the ladies of the Cleveland church of Christ who came out June 12 and scrubbed down the dorms and restrooms!
Finally, here is a brief review of business that was discussed at the board meeting.

Item 8: Spare Room Conversion: Convert the spare room outside into a tool/utility room. The current tool/utility room can then be converted into a pantry. Convert the sports room into a updated sports room and canteen area.
Item 9: Well House: The next major project will be constructing a new or remodeled well house.
Item 10: Old Oven: The old oven will be scrapped. All proceeds will be put into camp account.

With the work day scheduled for June 12 fast approaching, the faithful workers at Frog Road Christian Camp made a preemptive strike to accomplish some setup work at the camp this weekend. The big project was to get frame work done for the new awning. The old wooden frame had finally given way and needed to be replaced. It was removed earlier in the Spring. The new awning will be framed with metal, including the metal posts that were donated to the camp. Hopefully this new awning, when completed, will withstand the abuse of Oklahoma weather for years to come. Special thanks to everyone involved in this project, especially those that braved the brutal heat!

The Executive Trustee Board for the camp will be meeting to discuss upcoming projects and maintenance on Saturday, April 10. The meeting will be at the camp with a “work day” to follow after the meeting. All interested parties are invited to come and contribute their help to the camp. Contact a Board Member for details.
Update: The work day and board meeting went very well. The camp looks great and is ready for summer to begin!!

Faith Week will be coming up on June 13-19, 2010! The application is available in printable form on the Faith Week page (see the tab above). Also, a brochure is available with important information for parents and campers. The newest feature for the website is the online application for Faith Week. You can fill out all your camper’s information using the form today! (Sorry, you will still have to put your check in the mail.) Check out the Faith Week page for updates!

We have moved the camp website to a new server and are now updating all of the pages. The new website will allow for a lot of new features and more frequent updates on camp information. Take a look around. It will be changed frequently in the next few weeks.
